ROLES: PROGRAMMER

INFOB3IT Interaction Technology is an elective course that I followed at Utrecht University. The course focused on different types of interaction technology and emphasized on the technological aspects of HUman-Computer Interaction rather than the human aspects.

As part of the course, we made an automated air freshener for one of the bathrooms at the university. By using an old R2-D2 plastic candy jar, we decided to try to see if they could make the Intelligent Toilet Ambience Star Wars themed. We loaded up the R2-D2 shell with an Arduino, a ton of sensors and an actuator for triggering the air freshener. An additional assignment involved using OpenCV to recognize hand gestures. A video in Dutch that explains this can be found at the bottom of the page.
